Apparel Production Delivery Date Calculator
The Apparel Delivery Date Calculator estimates a practical production and delivery schedule from the P.O. received date, production country, and fabric type.
This calculator is designed to help apparel professionals estimate a feasible IHD (In-House Date) and compare it with the customer-required delivery date before confirming an order.
It provides a practical starting point for production planning by showing whether the requested schedule appears Feasible or Not Feasible based on the information entered.
How to Use the Calculator
Follow these steps to estimate your production and delivery schedule.
Step 1 — Enter the P.O. Received Date
nter the P.O. Received Date in the first yellow input cell. This is the date the purchase order is received and the starting point for the estimated schedule.
Step 2 — Select the Production Country
Choose the Production Country from the drop-down menu:
- Vietnam
- China
The selected country determines the logistics lead-time assumptions used by the calculator.
Step 3 — Select the Fabric Type
Choose the Fabric Type from the drop-down menu:
- Solid & Normal
- Solid & NormalPrint & Novelty
The calculator applies the corresponding fabric lead-time assumption to the schedule.
Step 4 — Enter the Customer Required IHD, If Available
If the customer has provided a required delivery date, enter it in Customer Required IHD (optional).
This field is optional. When a date is entered, the calculator compares it with the estimated IHD and displays the result under Required-date check.
Step 5 — Review the Estimated Result
The ESTIMATED IHD shows the estimated date the goods will reach the customer warehouse based on the information entered and the lead-time assumptions used by the calculator.
The result section also displays:
- Total lead time — The total number of calendar days from the P.O. Received Date to the estimated IHD.
- Required-date check — A comparison between the ESTIMATED IHD and the Customer Required IHD.
If no Customer Required IHD is entered, the Required-date check will display Required IHD not entered.
If a required date is entered, the result will show:
- FEASIBLE — The ESTIMATED IHD is on or before the Customer Required IHD. The calculator also shows the available day buffer.
- NOT FEASIBLE — The ESTIMATED IHD falls after the Customer Required IHD. The calculator also shows the number of days late.
Step 6 — Review the Production & Delivery Milestones
The PRODUCTION & DELIVERY MILESTONES table shows the estimated schedule from fabric ordering through final delivery and invoicing.
- 1. Fabric P.O. Issue Date
- 2. Fabric Ready / ETD Date
- 3. Fabric In-Factory Date
- 4. Sewing Start Date
- 5. Garment ETD Date
- 6. Garment ETA Date
- 7. IHD — Customer Warehouse
- 8. Invoice Date
For each milestone, the table shows Days Needed, Cumulative Days, Estimated Date, What It Means, Basis, and Status.
Important: Garment ETA Date is the estimated arrival date at the destination port or region. It is not the final IHD. The primary delivery result is IHD — Customer Warehouse.
Lead-Time Assumptions & Important Notes
This calculator is designed as a practical planning tool. Estimated dates are based on the lead-time assumptions built into the calculator and should not be interpreted as guaranteed production or delivery dates.
Actual lead times may vary depending on fabric availability, supplier capacity, factory workload, production complexity, holidays, transportation schedules, customs clearance, port conditions, and other factors affecting the order.
Before confirming a customer delivery date, the estimated schedule should be reviewed against the actual conditions of the specific order, factory, suppliers, and logistics route.
STEP 1 — USE ONLINE
Use the calculator as a planning reference—not as a substitute for confirming actual production and logistics conditions.
